Scope
We explain how to compare prescription prices. We do not publish treatment recommendations, dosing instructions, diagnoses, or claims that one medication should replace another.
Sources and authorship
We prioritize CMS, Medicare, FDA, and a service’s own documentation for statements about that service. Pages identify their sources and the date content was updated. Content is published by RxCompare and may be prepared with software assistance. It has not been reviewed by a clinician.
Original utility
Our contribution is the comparison workflow, unit-aware data presentation, downloadable subsets, and practical checklists. We do not infer pharmacy prices from an arbitrary markup or mass-produce separate pages for every NDC.
Dates and corrections
Data retrieval dates and source record dates are distinct from article update dates. We do not automatically relabel old data as current. When a source changes, content and data must be checked before publication. See correction information.
Advertising
Commercial placements must be identifiable. Sponsors do not control the calculator, source values, or conclusions. We do not accept payment for claims of clinical efficacy or a “cheapest pharmacy” ranking.
