Discount services are not insurance
GoodRx explains that its discount is used instead of insurance for a purchase. SingleCare’s help page likewise says its service is free and cannot be combined with insurance. Neither fact establishes which offer is lower for your fill.
Compare four totals, not a percentage-off headline
- Ask for the pharmacy’s ordinary cash total.
- Ask for your insurance cost for the exact same fill.
- Get the GoodRx offer for that pharmacy and confirm whether it requires a paid plan.
- Get the SingleCare offer for the same pharmacy; check whether displayed member rewards or exclusions affect it.
SingleCare’s membership terms explain that bonus savings have exclusions and can change. Do not assume a first-fill reward applies to every refill.
Record the details that can change the result
